The Lancashire Quality Award (LQA) scheme was developed by Lancashire County Council's Sure Start, Early Years and Childcare Service as a quality assurance scheme to support all childcare providers across Lancashire in reflecting on their current good practice and developing further to provide a high quality service for children and families.
To gain the LQA, all staff in the childcare setting spent time working together through a series of modules, thinking about what they do, observing each other and the children, gaining the views of parents and children and working on further areas for development.
The scheme focuses on providing exciting and stimulating learning experiences for children learning through play and having fun.
After one year of hard work, and the combined effort of our staff and management, we have now completed our modules, which have been verified by a panel of experts (childcare consultants). We have also been invited to an awards ceremony on the 13th of March at Barton Grange Hotel to be officially presented with our Award.
Despite achieving this award, we are conscious of raising our standards even more and therefore have already enrolled onto another award.
